Associate Teacher

We serve young children ages 6 weeks- 5 years, year-round, in a high quality early care and education program. Seeking an Associate Childcare Teacher who will interact in a positive way with children, parents/guardians, and staff. Ability to provide a warm, nurturing, safe, and loving environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence is encouraged, and individuality is respected. Commitment to maintaining professionalism in daily interactions with children, parents and staff; commitment to working cooperatively with co-workers and administration; respect for diversity and inclusion.  An Associate Childcare Teacher MUST have the following experience and attributes:

• High School Diploma or HiSET/GED Certificate
• A minimum of 9 ECE Credits from an accredited College or University
• Ability to comply with and meet NH Childcare Licensing requirements
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to react quickly and keep up with moving children
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust

Specific Responsibilities of an Associate Childcare Teacher:

• Assist in providing a warm and nurturing environment in which a child can grow physically, emotionally, socially and cognitively.
• Work effectively as a team contributor
• Use appropriate and positive behavior management techniques
• Maintain required credentials, licensing and NAEYC standards
• Participate in staff development activities; maintain required hours of training
• Attend required staff meetings
