Specific Responsibilities of a Lead Teacher: ·         Develop weekly lesson plans based on a curriculum outline; prepare necessary materials ·         Interact with the children and encourage their involvement in activities ·         Responsible to the Child Care Director; regarding staff or children and parents ·         Provide assistants with supervision, direction, modeling, and the opportunity to plan and implement activities ·         Use appropriate and positive behavior management techniques and implement established behavior management plans ·         Maintain required credentials, licensing and NAEYC standards ·         Participate in staff development activities; maintain required hours of training for certification ·         Attend required staff meetings.Qualifications: A Child Care Lead Teacher MUST have the following experience and attributes: High School Diploma or HiSET/GED Certificate 18 ECE Credits or Degree from an accredited College or University with concentration in Early Childhood or related field Ability to comply with and meet NH Childcare Licensing requirements Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds Must be able to react quickly and keep up with moving children Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust

Seeking a Lead Teacher who will interact in a positive way with children, parents/guardians, and staff; ability to develop and implement a developmentally appropriate child care program. Ability to provide a warm, nurturing, safe, and loving environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence is encouraged, and individuality is respected. Commitment to maintaining professionalism in daily interactions with children, parents and staff; commitment to working cooperatively with co-workers and administration; respect for diversity and inclusion.

Monday- Friday/ 8 hours per day/ 40 hours per week
