The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central NH has a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Floating Center Director in the Lakes Region. There is excellent potential for growth within a multi-site organization dedicated to professional development and training. This is a great opportunity to work closely with a fun, experienced staff, with lots of opportunities to grow. The right individual will be enthusiastic, and caring. We are looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative and motivated Center Director as we continue our tradition of helping early childhood educators grow in the field while providing a high-quality, emergent curriculum for young children from 6 months to six years. Responsibilities include providing the program staff with mission, vision, and leadership. The Center Director oversees the general management, administration, and day-to-day program management, including budget management, purchasing, development of the child care plans, programs, curriculum, safety, community services, outreach, staff development, and performance evaluations. Must be willing to drive.-Must be 21 years of age. -Have a minimum of a high school diploma, 3 credits in management or supervision, awarded by an accredited college or university, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management position in lieu of the 3 credits in management and supervision, or a written plan for completion of 3 credits, and a minimum of 1500 hours of working experience in an early childhood program. Have one of the following: -A minimum of an associate's degree awarded by an accredited college in related coursework. -An additional 3000 hours of experience working with children in a licensed child care program or in a public or private elementary school and documentation of non-expired child development associates (CDA) in center-based programs awarded by the council for professional recognition. -Be on file with the department as a center director working in that position on or before November 6, 2017. -Current certification in early childhood, elementary, or special education by the department of education. Certification in a teacher preparation program accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) in infant and toddler, early childhood or elementary I, together with 60 credits, awarded by an accredited college or university; or -Documentation of 60 credits, of which at least 24 shall be in related coursework, including at least 3 credits in each of the following core knowledge areas: 1. Children with special needs; 2. Child growth and development; and 3. Curriculum for early childhood education; and Additional Requirements include: -Experience in staff supervision, fiscal management, and administration. -Knowledge of child development and the latest educational theories and practices. -Ability to motivate members and manage behavior problems with patience. -Ability to communicate with parents/guardians. -Ability to plan and implement quality programs; proven track of having creative and artistic teaching abilities and experience with starting up a new program. -Responsible for having a thorough knowledge of the childcare licensing rules for the state of NH. -Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications in order to meet Bureau of Childcare licensing requirements. -May be required to drive Club van/short bus periodically. -Must possess a safe driving record and submit a copy of such record to either the Operations Director or Human Resources department. -May be required to assist in cleaning and organizing the Club. -Must be willing to travel between locations. -All of the candidates that are offered a job with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire will have to submit for an -FBI fingerprint background check and submit to a background check through the State of NH Criminal Records Dept. and FirstAdvantage. Note: The State of NH Childcare Licensing Bureau may prohibit you from being employed by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire should there be a disqualifying finding on your criminal record. In addition, even if the State of NH reviews your records and allows you to work at the Club, we still reserve the right to determine your employment status.

Program Development and Implementation

-Responsible for the development and coordination of the major content areas such as; education, health, social services, parent involvement, nutrition, disabilities, and transportation.
-Ensures the evaluation of Club programs on a continual basis, including tracking outcome metrics; verifies that programs/activities respond to member needs and addresses their gender and cultural diversity.
-Increases visibility of Club programs; establishes community connections with local, county and state agencies and individuals within the area who can lend support to the program.
-Coordinates efficient practices of recruiting children.
-Ensures parent’s involvement in decision-making processes; models an attitude of welcoming acceptance of the parent’s role in the program.


-Executes personnel policies of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire; responsible for the hiring, firing, and supervision of all center program staff and volunteers.
-Ensures the safety of all children and staff.
-Establishes effective means of communication between the center staff, Branch/Unit Directors and administration.
-Responsible for providing training and professional development for the teachers and support staff members.
-Develops and maintains ongoing monitoring of budgets; manages monthly receipts and expenditures.
-Other duties as assigned.
