Have responsibility for running a classroom, providing a warm, developmentally appropriate environment for the children enrolled, creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans, redirecting behaviors in an age-appropriate way, communicating with parents, managing all daily care needs for the children enrolled, working with administration on program improvements.  Shares in cleaning tasks, personal care needs of the children, engaging with the children at their level and in various play activities, communicate with the parents, and more!Be at least 18 years of age, have 18 college credits or CDA or equivalent Be able to sit, kneel, engage at children's level and lift up to 50 pounds Good communication skills, flexibility, reliability, team player

The Lead Teacher supports the Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and creates activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Assisting the team in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents. The Teacher observes and documents children’s interest and progress, and relays that information back to parents and administration. The Teacher is responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s interests and needs under the direction of the Director. Lead teacher will be a role model for other staff and follow all licensing and program rules and regulations.
