Must have a high school diploma or a GED, and a minimum of 12 credits in Early Childhood Education, including 3 from a Child Growth and Development, all from a regionally accredited college.
Certification, Registration & Licensure
Certification required to obtain: Must be certified in Infant and Child CPR including AED training, and Basic First Aid within 6 months of hire; must complete Water Safety training within 1 year of employment.
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of two years’ experience working with young children in a group setting.
Promotes the social, physical and intellectual growth of children; provides developmentally appropriate care; observes and documents children’s learning and development; supervises classroom operations in the absence of the Lead Teacher; communicates effectively with children, all center staff and families.
